Conducted a motion analysis experiment on archery athletes!

The candidate athletes for the archery competition of the upcoming “Moyuru Kando Kagoshima National Sports Festival” to be held in Kagoshima Prefecture this autumn underwent measurements on July 2nd at our university’s SPORTEC Sports Performance Research Center.

These measurements were conducted as part of a collaborative project between our university and the Kagoshima Archery Association. The main objective of this measurement was to “quantify the differences in movements between highly skilled coaches and other athletes.”

Faculty members and students from our university took the lead in measuring body and arrow movements from various angles using motion capture systems, high-speed cameras, and force plates.
